1. What ReplyFrog does
ReplyFrog is an AI co-pilot that helps you draft social media replies in different tones and in your own voice. You review every draft and post manually — ReplyFrog does not auto-post on your behalf, access your social media passwords, or take control of your accounts.
The Service is currently available on X (Twitter), with plans to support additional platforms in the future.
2. Information we collect
Account information
When you create an account, we collect your name, email address, and password (stored in hashed form). If you enable two-factor authentication or passkeys, we store the data needed to verify your identity.
Voice profile and tone presets
To personalize drafts, we store the writing style notes you provide ("My voice") and any custom tone presets you create. Built-in tone presets are provided by ReplyFrog and may be associated with your usage.
Reply generation data
When you request a draft, the extension sends the text of the post you are replying to, your selected tone, and your voice profile notes to our servers. We use this information solely to generate draft replies. We may also store generated drafts, the platform you replied on (for example, X), and optional metadata such as the handle you replied to.
Usage and analytics
We collect information about how you use the Service, such as which tones you use, how often you generate drafts, and whether a draft was inserted into the platform's reply box. This helps us improve quality, enforce usage limits, and understand product performance.
Extension and device data
The Chrome extension may store preferences locally in your browser (for example, via Chrome sync storage) and communicates with our backend through the extension's background service worker. We may receive technical data such as your browser user agent, IP address, and API authentication tokens when you use the Service.
Payment information
If you subscribe to a paid plan, payment processing is handled by Paddle, our Merchant of Record. Paddle collects and processes payment details on our behalf. We receive billing-related information such as subscription status, plan type, and transaction records, but we do not store full payment card numbers on our servers.
3. How we use your information
- Generate AI draft replies tailored to your tone and voice preferences.
- Provide, maintain, and improve the Chrome extension and web dashboard.
- Authenticate you and secure your account.
- Enforce usage limits, process subscriptions, and communicate with you about your account.
- Monitor for abuse, troubleshoot errors, and protect the security of the Service.
- Comply with legal obligations and respond to lawful requests.
4. What we do not do
- We do not post replies on your behalf.
- We do not ask for or store your X, LinkedIn, or other social platform passwords.
- We do not sell your personal information.
- We do not use your data to train public foundation models without your explicit consent.
5. AI processing and third parties
Draft replies are generated using third-party AI inference providers (currently Ollama Cloud). When you request a draft, the relevant post text, tone instructions, and voice notes are sent to these providers for processing. We choose providers that contractually commit to handling data appropriately, but their processing is subject to their own terms and privacy practices.
We also use infrastructure and service providers for hosting, email delivery, analytics, authentication, and payment processing. These providers access data only as needed to perform services on our behalf.
6. Cookies and similar technologies
Our web application uses cookies and similar technologies to keep you signed in, remember preferences, and protect against fraud. You can control cookies through your browser settings, but disabling them may limit certain features of the dashboard.
7. Data retention
We retain account information and your saved tone and voice settings for as long as your account is active. Generated drafts and usage logs are retained for a reasonable period to provide the Service, enforce limits, and improve quality. You may request deletion of your account and associated data at any time (see Section 9).
8. Security
We use industry-standard measures to protect your information, including encryption in transit (HTTPS), hashed passwords, and access controls on our systems. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
9. Your rights and choices
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:
- Access the personal information we hold about you.
- Correct inaccurate information in your account settings.
- Delete your account and associated data.
- Export your data in a portable format.
- Object to or restrict certain processing.
- Withdraw consent where processing is based on consent.
To exercise these rights, contact us at [email protected]. We will respond within a reasonable timeframe. You may also uninstall the Chrome extension at any time to stop new data from being collected through it.
10. Children's privacy
ReplyFrog is not intended for anyone under 16 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.
11. International transfers
ReplyFrog may process and store information in countries other than your own, including where our hosting and AI providers operate. When we transfer data internationally, we take steps designed to ensure it remains protected in accordance with this Privacy Policy and applicable law.
12. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the "Last updated" date above and, where appropriate, notify you by email or through the Service. Your continued use of ReplyFrog after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
